• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

SSL certificates: How do I sort them out?

Hello all,

I have been trying to wrap my head around SSL Certificates for some time now, but so far I've only managed to understand what they are.

Now my problem is how to get one and how to sort them out.

In my Plesk control panel, I go the route and pick a domain to manage the SSL certificate on, click "ADD SSL Certificate"

Now this is the part that gets the better of me.

Certificate name: Can I just enter anything I want, or do I have to enter something spesific?

Bits: I reccon this is good at the default (1024)

And the personal information was a bit difficult but I got through it (kidding of course).
----------

Allright, now, do I click the request, or the buy or self-signed?

And what about the other fields below that, is these files I will recieve if I buy an SSL certificate?

Please, any help will be GREATLY appreciated!

Thank you,
Jan Arve
