  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Hi All,

Windows 2003 server with Plesk 8.2

Here is the exact issue. I'm maintaining the DNS server in my server only.

I have created a domain(unasoft.co.uk) in my Plesk server.

When ever I try to access it is giving "Default Plesk Page".

I can´t even access it via FTP, 530 not authorized to view.

It´s like the domain doesn't exists on the server.

If I go to the preview Site, it shows the site.

Even checked restarting the system no good.

I also checked for any DNS issues. As I'm getting all the DNS information correctly so unable to decide the exact issue.

Please let me know how can i fix this issue. I even tried to configure another site same issue. Waiting for reply.

To my wonder without even able access the page the traffic is showing that is used.

Thank in advance.

are u sure you set up the dns (ns1 and ns2) in plesk correctly?
Can you post a screen shot of the SERVERS DNS in plesk?

Here is the screen shoot which I configured.

DNS

Login as admin to your plesk cp and click on the left on the Server link, then click the DNS Settings Icon.
Now click on the Add New DNS Record Icon and select Record type: NS from the drop down menu and add in the field wehre it says: Enter nameserver* this: NS1.YOURDOMAIN.COM leave the top text field empty where it says Enter domain name.

Click ok and do the same for NS2.YOURDOMAIN.COM

after that click again on the Add NEW DNS Record icon and select Record type: A, in the text field where it says: Enter domain name enter just NS1 and below in the textfield where it says Enter IP address* add the IP of your NS1.YOURDOMAINNAME.COM (the IP only NOT the name) and click ok. Reapeat this for the NS2 and the IP of the ns2 record and OK.

This should take care of your problem.

Let me know

Hi Henry,

Thanks for your support. Unfortunately even after keeping those settings still having the same issue. And I have checked with the dns settings and outside it is resolving good.

Please let me know if there is any other setting which I'm missing. I didn't allowed pinging to my server so we're unable to ping with the website. However, if we check the dns port and http port both are open. So there is no issue I guess. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

did you recreate your domain unasoft.co.uk new after the dns server changes?

Hi Henry,
I checked with that as well and still no good. Any other settings to be checked?

ramsri.

Hi Henry,
At last got the solution. Thanks for your support.

The issue is my server is behind firewall.
This solution is provide my server support team.
For behind firewall we need to do these settings:

There are a few steps you will need to follow in order for your domain to resolve properly. You have a firewall and will need to configure your domain setup to use the internal IP address 10.0.0.1. But it appears you have not added 10.0.0.1 to the My Domains client pool. To do this follow the directions below.

Log into Plesk:
Select Server => IP Addresses => select the link for 10.0.0.1 and change this IP address to Shared, click OK to save changes.

Then add the IP to the client pool. Select Clients => My Domains => IP Pool => Add New IP Address, select the option to add 10.0.0.1 to this clients IP pool.

Now you can assign the IP to your domain. Select Domains => unasoft.co.uk => Setup, and from the IP Address drop down select 10.0.0.1 and click OK to save the changes. Your domain should now properly resolve to your server and domain.

I once again thank you for your assistance.

However, I added you in my hotmail list. My email id is irsmar@hotmail.com. Also did you worked integration of JBoss and Plesk.

Thanks and regards,
ramsri.
