Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
As you probably know, custom design templates are created with Sitebuilder SDK (can be downloaded and installed separately from Sitebuilder itself), which has its own documentation, including the "Template Creation Guide".
The release of Sitebuilder SDK version 4.0 is planned for the end of July (~27) and will be published at:
SDK - http://swdn.swsoft.com/en/download/sdk/
SDK documentation - http://swdn.swsoft.com/en/library/sitebuilder/
We have recently created a custom template and found the SDK materials to be very inadequate. Some things that were required were not documented at all. Other things we were told were optional are in fact required in order for the template to compile properly. We had to work through these issues with support. I believe it was ticket #402974. You (SWsoft) should be able to pull a lot of useful information from that ticket on how to improve the documentation.
