• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Could someone in Parallels please advice on how exactly do you create a trial plan for the cPanel integration?

I also noticed there seems to be a bug when when a user has an addon domain in cPanel. It will output an error when the user tries to publish as it would not be in the usual path. Addons domains usually use:

/home/user/public_html/example.com

Being "example.com" the addon domain.

A simple check before publishing could this errors and let users also publish with their addon domains.

1. Do you mean CPanel+WHMCS integration? Development of such scenario is planned for WPB 11.6 release.
2. I've checked and can't reproduce problem with addon domains. I recommend you to contact technical support to investigate and resolve this issue. Maybe it's some environment problem...

Well, I don´t use WHMCS, but another billing system which also automates creation via cPanel APIs.

I was referring to cPanel itself. It seems the way you activate PWPB is via the package feature manager.

This seems rather basic, ON or OFF per package and you set up customer account to use that package if they want PWPB.

It would be nice if you could set easily trial accounts (like 30 days free use) on the WHM plugin itself, so all cPanel users actually have access to trial the system for some period or even with a specific limited plan (limited pages, etc)

I know this can be done via the API, but it would be nice to see more options in the WHM plugin in the future.

I will try to replicate the addon bug again and see if I can replicate it on a different server.

The idea is to actually motivate as many users to use the system, in particular new accounts, if they want it after testing, they can always upgrade their trials.

You also mentioned 11.6

I installed 11.1.1 and cPanel/WHM integration was easy and works fine, its rather just seems very simple in terms of options. It only allows to see domains which use the system, nothing more.

Maybe 11.6 is going to see a broader development on that side.

Could you tell me please which billing system do you use with cPanel?

Right now I can say to you that TBB scenarios it's a high priority tasks for all WPB integrations.

Regarding cPanel:
the new cPanel plugin is planned for release at July 2013. It will support limits for count of WPB sites and localization.

Thanks for your comments.

I see, I though the version I had was already the one advertised with cPanel integration, since I did installed the plugin in WHM and everything works fine so far. Maybe this was just a basic pre-release and more features will come to it, nice to hear that.

As billing system I currently use Hostbill.
