Two Email Problems

Hello,

I have 2 VPS with 2 different ips. And I have two Plesk, but I can not send emails from my home (I get emails only), only can send emails with the webmail on browser or other internet.

Another problem I have is that when installing on my mobile phone to read e-mails, the following error appears:
sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed:
sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: Unable to find certification path to requested target.

With another panel that had before plesk I had no such problems.

How can I fix these problems?

My O.S. is centOS 7.1 and the plesk is "Plesk v12.5.30_build1205150826.19 os_CentOS 7"

what depending entries have you got in your log - files ( maillog ) for your issues?

Plesk for Linux services logs and configuration files ( KB - article: 111 283 )​

Second, pls. be informed, that we do not know, WHAT mobile phone you use and we do not know WHAT eMail-client you use on your mobile phone.
In addition it would be helpfull, to post as well your configuration files ( from postfix? qmail? dovecot? imap-courrier? )

How I see the mail log? Send mails only don't work on my house with my ip.

A use the postfix and dovecot. The app I want use is "Alto". With ssl activate with ports 993 for imap and 465 for smtp.

@Umbus, I would imagine that you are not connecting to the server from the mail client correctly... First on all I would try to establish a test connection with a test e-mail account over unencrypted SMTP port 25.

As you can only receive mail I assume your IMAP/POP config is perfectly fine.

Ok in email android on my home works on WiFi on my home only if I use ssl, if not use ssl not send.

On application "Alto" on Android with ssl and the correct ports 25 and 143 says:
Unrecognized SSL message, plaintext connection?

Hi Umbus,

it really would help, if you post the MAIL - LOG - file, as already suggested, for decent investigations, but nevertheless, your "Alto" app doesn't recognize the SSL certificate, used on your server.

I think is because I don't have buy a ssl certificate. Is possible I don't use a certificate and use plesk? How use my emails and website without it?

Hi Umbus,

you can use Let's encrypt , or certificates from StartSSL - both offer free certificates. Unfortunately, Plesk doesn't offer yet an extension for Let's encrypt, which handles as well mail - certificates, but documentation/how-to-sites/forum-posts should help you, to generate an eMail - certificate for your mail - server.

Im trying the startssl. where i put the ssl certificate in plesk?

Is there a way in plesk to not use ssl? My website is only a blog, i dont need a ssl certificate and I'm having problems with emails

If I use the "email" from my android, without ssl says "It is not possible to connect to the server"

Pls. don't mix certificates for your webserver and mail-server, it might confuse you. It is certainly possible to have no certificate for your website, but in order to secure your mail-server, you should not do without one.
