• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Issue Unable to login to panel after initial install

Brian@FS

New Pleskian
Hi All,

Using the Plesk supplied linux ISO, I've installed the control panel onto my VmWare host. Instructions state to use "root" as the user and my superuser password provided during install. Putting this into the fields gives me an invalid user / pass error message. I've verified my su password works by logging into the server via SSH, so I have no idea what's happening. I tried the FQDN as well as IP address, no dice.

The install logs looked clean, but I bit the bullet and deleted the entire VM and started over - with the same results. I went through the same process a few weeks ago with the evaluation copy using the same ISO and everything worked fine, so I'm at a bit of a loss here...

Any help greatly appreciated!
