• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

PRODUCT, VERSION, OPERATING SYSTEM, ARCHITECTURE
Parallels Plesk Panel 10.4.4 MU #29 Linux 2.6.18-194.26.1.el5xen (CentOS 5) 64bit

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION
Multiple image upload within Gallery Module does not work when using Internet Explorer 9

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
Launch Web Presence Builder to edit a web site. In image gallery module click on the "click here to upload your images" link. Attempt to select multiple images to upload by holding down the control key / shift key.

ACTUAL RESULT
Multiple images cannot be selected. You have to upload one image at a time

EXPECTED RESULT*
You can select multiple images to upload in one go.

ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Using Firefox or Chrome, it is possible to upload multiple images to the gallery in one go. While we understand that changing from using IE9 to one of these other browsers is a workaround to the problem, it would be nice if we did not have to tell our customers that they have to change the browser they use so they can upload more than one image at once.

Hi Russell,

We know about this issue - and unfortunately it's a limitation of IE9. To make it work in IE9 we'll have to completely rewrite image uploader in Flash or HTML5, which might not actually resolve the situation for some IE9 users because they might not have Flash and HTML5 support in IE9 is, well, not exactly sufficient. The good news is that we'd like to have a better image uploader - with progress bar and everything. The bad news is that we don't know when we'll add this functionality because there's so much great stuff we want to add into WPB. If we find a way to quickly help IE9 users with multiple image upload, rest assured we'll do it as soon as we can.

Also, please let me know how important this item is for you when compared to other things you'd like to see in WPB. It will help us estimate the priority for this item.

Thank you.
