• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Hello everyone,

I have a quick question,

I've used Plesk for more than a year now and I'm about to sell my website bussines including the server where Plesk its currently residing. Can I unistall Plesk on that server and have the website, emails, databases and DNS still be working?

I want to move the Plesk License to the new server that I will be purchasing, but before unsitalling it from the old server that the new owner will have I don't want to break anything and I want the website on the old server to continue running.

Regards

hello,
No, you should not uninstall Plesk, in this case domain will not work as well as email, they will be deleted. If you would like to migrate all data to other Plesk server, I advice you to install Plesk Migration manager on destination server and migration agent on source server and perform migration from one server to other one. As for the license, please contact to sales departament, they will provide you with a temporary license for migration.
