  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Hi,

I just upgraded a customer server from Plesk 8.2 to 8.3 and the result is quite disappointing:

We try to connect to the control pannel we get this:

Fatal error: Unexpected error in C:\Program Files\SWsoft\Plesk\admin\auto_prepend\auth.php3 on line 40

Any idea on how to solve this?

Best regards,

Benoit

Additional note:
The backup scheduled this evening resulted in the same message:

Backup error.
Unexpected error

When trying to execute the mail.exe utility, I get:

Fatal error: Unexpected error in C:\Program Files\SWsoft\Plesk\admin\plib\common_func.php3 on line 3147

When trying to execute the subdomain.exe utility i get the same error:

Fatal error: Unexpected error in C:\Program Files\SWsoft\Plesk\admin\plib\common_func.php3 on line 3147

Could this be related to a license issue?

Thanks for the help.

In our case, the problem was clearly caused by the upgrade, so we can only advise all people to avoid upgrading to 8.3.
Besides this, the only solution for our customer is to buy support from SWSoft to repair a problem coming from their soft...
Really a poor quality of service, no need to say that we are VERY VERY disappointed!

Hello bdemidde,

We need to look at problem server and license. Could you please send me PM with address and credentials for RDP access?
