• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Upgrade from v3 to v4

Regular Pleskian
I have several sites using SB3. I wish to upgrade to SB 4. Will this upgrade harm the sites already created in SB 3? Or do I run SB3 and SB4 concurrently? What guffaws might I expect from this upgrade for existing customers?

Will v3 Users be able to update their sites successfully with v4?

So will v3 users be able to update their sites with v4 without losses? Since v3 and v4 will not run simultaneously, they will then be using v4 for their sites. So I want to be sure. Thanks.

Sitebuilder users from v.3 which will be migrated to v.4 should work fine without any problems. Anyway, before upgrade and migration procedure it is suggested to make full Sitebuilder backup, just in case.
First step is upgrade and after that migration. Just follow documentation and everything should be fine.
