  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Resolved Upgrade from Web Pro to Web Host

Basic Pleskian
Hi,

I have a Plesk Onyx 17.5.3 Server using Plesk 10 license with a 30 Domain limit - I believe this is the Web Pro edition.

I wanted to upgrade to the 100 Domain version but have been told by my host (OVH) that this is no longer possible - I need to upgrade instead to Web Host, which now offers unlimited Domains. Fair enough.

However they have then added -

IMPORTANT: Please be advised that if you choose to have the "Unlimited ", then you will have to start form the beginning. Upgrade to "Unlimited" is not applicable.

Is this really the case... to upgrade beyond 30 sites I must start again from scratch? Is there no way round this? Or have they made a mistake here?

Thanks.

Sorry, this is nonsense.

No, you don't have to start from scratch. Ask OVH, to provide the NEW Activation Code and insert it at "HOME > Tools & Settings > Licence Management > (tab) Additional Licence Keys" and add the provided code by clicking on "Install Key". As an alternative, download the new license key file from OVH ( they should provide the file over their Control Panel somewhere ) and upload the key - file in order to install the new licence.

You will see, that your licence will be renewed with the new specifications. ;)
