  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

I really want to upgrade my Media Temple dv 4.0 Plesk to v 10.2

We are currently running an older version of Virtuozzo Containers than you would need to be able to upgrade to Plesk 10.2. Additionally, we don't have any plans currently to upgrade these Virtuozzo Containers just yet. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Is the upgrade dependent on the version of the Virtuozzo Container?

Yes, IPv6 will work only on latest PVC 4.6 version.

IPv6

Is IPv6 the only thing that wont work?
Is it possible to upgrade and just not have IPv6 functionality?

Yes, you can use previous PVC versions but without IPv6 support for Plesk 10.2

Hmmm....

That is hopeful....
I really want the other features.
(Like wevsrvmng working correctly)
Not too worried about IPv6 yet.

Do you for see any issues upgrading from 10.1.1 CentOS 5 1010110120.18 to 10.2 on an older PVC? (other than IPv6)

Can I install Parallels Virtuozzo Containers for Linux 4.6 tools update in a 4.0.0 container?

Once again - you can use any 4.x PVC version for Plesk 10.2, but only with PVC 4.6 you can use IPv6 feature.
