Hello together,
We're using Plesk 7.5.6 (20051107.20) along with Smartermail Professtional Edition 2.6 and Gene 6 FTP Professional Edition (version 3.7.0).
We now want to upgrade to the newest version of all these products, especially as SPAM tagging in Smartermail 2.6 has a lot of wrong detections.
So in which order shall we upgrade the products, I would see the following:
0. Disconnecting Internet, stopping all services
1. Backup of the whole machine (Acronis)
2. Start services again, install Plesk Upgrade to 7.6.1
3. Reboot, Installing Smartermail 3.2, Reboot and testing
4. Installing Gene6 FTP newest build
5. Testing everything, if working enabling Internet again
I read the release notes, along with the troubles in the forum, are there any other steps which should be followed before.
Questions:
A. Will PHP 5.0 be installed automatically, or are there any manual steps needed (like I read in a thread).
B. Will Smartermail Upgrade work without problems, and webmail also, or is there something specical as it supports IIS / own solution of SM now. (any manual config steps?)
C. Does SM 3.2. now support SSL https://webmail connections? I can't find a real answer on the Smartertools site to that. (as I don't like to use addtional tools, if not really necessary.)
