Urgent. Wrong syntax for command's '-passwd' parameter.

took a copy of the backup then wiped a server, reinstalled plesk, trying to restore from backup and get the below errors.

I think I need to edit the .xml files in the /var/lib/psa/dumps to change some passwords to force the restore through, however the passwords are stored in the XML as encrypted so how can I best do this?

Example of Errors below with private things changed, please help asap

The mailboxes not so important but I need a way to get the databases back up and running ideally with same passwords as before

That search only brings http://kb.parallels.com/en/113417

I already know it is because of the special characters issue, because it is plesk 11 I cannot change the password in the XML because it is type='encrypted'.

The server it was on is now wiped as i said so I cannot 'change' the password to not use special characters so I asked for another way around.


Please can you advise if http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=265257 is relevant as you said it is related to Most probably it is related to issue discussed in this thread - http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=260790 which you were going to release a patch for, is there a patch for this for 64bit?
