using migration manager to *downgrade*

I need to transfer domains and clients from a Plesk 9.2.2 to Plesk 8.6, both on Linux. A downgrade of plesk versions.

Starting the migration manager from 8.6 (the destination) and using the root credentials shows two domains, but neither of them are one of the 50 domains that the originating server has. One domain is the originating server's hostname (not a hosted domain), the other is the first domain that existed on the site.

It smells to me like this is an unsupported migration, but I'm hoping to be wrong.

Or am willing to try any other forms of migration

TIA

Tony

There are now possibility to downgrade Plesk. Some additional database tables, fields, settings, etc. for Plesk domain/clients can not be moved from 9.x Plesk to 8.x

How?

Igor,

Thanks for that. Can you point me in the right direction?

Just upgrade 8.x Plesk version to 9.x version and perform domains migration.

Igor, thanks, but that doesn't solve my problem.

More detail: the owner of the server wants to stick with 8.x because that's what his license is for. I have a temp license for 9.x for a few more days, and my intent was to install 8.x on another (virtual) server and then migrate across.

Instead, if I can just downgrade 9.x to 8.x, then that's easier. Can you point me in the direction of how to downgrade? I was lead to believe (by searching this forum, IIRC) that I couldn't downgrade.

The whole purpose for this is to permanently downgrade from 9.x to 8.x. Can I downgrade my current server (skip the migration part)
