  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question Using www subdomain for e-mail address

d2o

New Pleskian
Hi,
I am looking for a way to add an e-mail address having the subdomain prefix "www". Unfortunately, on adding an e-mail address, the subdomain www is not present. When I try to create a subdomain for "www" Plesk says that this domain is already in use. Is there any way to make this happen?
Thanks
Stefan

If you add the subdomain as a domain alias, when you create an email address or email alias the address automatically already includes the subdomain version as well.

Thanks. I tried that. But I cannot add "www" as subdomain. Plesk complains that this subdomain is already defined.

I encountered an issue, that some mailservers seem to rewrite the reply-to mail address so it contains www subdomain. I have no clue, why that is the case. And therefore, I would like to enable www as return address until I find a different solution. People answering to a newsletter currently will receive a fail message, because that address does not exist.

Thanks
Stefan
