• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

hi folk

we cannot fetch email over pop/imap.

look in /var/log/mail.err: Aug 13 11:46:41 xxx pop3d: LOGIN FAILED, ip=[xx]
look in /var/log/mail.info: Aug 13 11:45:40 xxxpop3d: IMAP connect from @ [xx]checkmailpasswd: unable to open mail authentication database: No such file or directory
look in /var/qmail/users/poppasswd ok, all users are stored
look in /var/lib/plesk/mail/auth emtpy, no passwd.db file

look around google and found, i should use /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/mail_auth_dump. but this file is not installed

how can i restore the passwd file form qmail passwd

/usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/mail_auth_dump is a part of psa package.
You can extract it from rpm package file.
place it into the /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin directory and execute as root user.

Execute mail_auth_dump utility.
it will create /var/lib/plesk/mail/auth/passwd.db file.

What exactly OS and Plesk version do you use? (#cat /usr/local/psa/version)

" /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/mail_auth_dump is a part of psa package.
You can extract it from rpm package file.
place it into the /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin directory and execute as root user. "

any idea of how to do this?

Ive got a lot of angry people right now because they cant log in to their mail using outlook!

Please Help!
