  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Resolved vhost renamed but logfiles are still written

TomE

Basic Pleskian
Hello everyone,

i know this is not a PLESK problem but maybe someone has a tip for me.

I have renamed a vhost folder (from domain_123 to domain_renamed) and created a new one with the original name (domain_123). But it is still written to the logfile (access_log ....) of the changed vhost (domain_renamed) under /logs/ and not to the new folder (domain_123).

So now there is a folder domain_renamed and domain_123 under /var/www/vhost/ and the logfiles are written under /var/www/vhost/domain_renamed/logs/* although the request goes to domain_123.

- a server restart did not help
- rights and owners from vhost and logs folder are correct
- changing and saving the hosting settings did not help

What can I do?

Many thanks and greetings,
Tom

How did you rename this vhost?

Anything other than via the Plesk Panel may cause unexpected issues.

You can simply rename the domain via Plesk Panel

i have now renamed the vhost again via the plesk interface and restarted the server. Now everything works and it is written into the correct logfile :)

Thank you!!!
