• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

View password option.

4PSA has an add-on that can help you, and there used to be something caller Plesk Power Toys or something that also tried to bridge this gap.

Actually in Power Toys 4.0.0 (released in may 2007) you can let also domain owners to reveal passwords for his own domain.

This product has evolved nicely! Does it work with Plesk Linux and Plesk Windows?

Hi,

Only Linux version.
We made a step now to domain owners and introduced some nice tools, like Password revealer, Speed up site with .htaccess, Outlook Mail Account generator (will be best tool, I'm sure) and Hotlink Protection.

Please consider also developing a Windows version because now I cannot use your product. We have half Linux servers and half Windows servers and now only Linux clients will have good support!

:)

I don't understand:

Surely a Plesk Add-on for Plesk for Windows does not require a license?

The developer who develops the product might need a Plesk License and possibly a Windows License but the end-user shouldn't require a license.

Linux does not require :))
I already get the Web Edition Trial for Windows 2003, we will see what can we do with it.

Last time I check the database schema and language files for Plesk Windows was very similar to Plesk Linux. You might run into a complication (read: more work) because some people on Plesk Windows use Microsoft SQL / MSDE for database, but perhaps for now you could limit the add-on to users who have the MySQL back-end. Anyway, good luck with your programming. I see forward to the result. I will definitely be a customer (x 4 servers) if you produce something.

Do you happen to know which 4SPA product specifically? I purchased power toys and although it is a step closer, it's not exactly what I was looking for, namely the ability, for example, to click a button next to a password within Plesk to "show" the password (I've seen this with other web hosts). Thanks.

Can you explain this? Power Toys reveal passwords.

4PSA Notifications, Tools Menu, Password reveals login details for clients and domains. Also shows database and FTP passwords.
