  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Virtual directory transfer via plesk migration

kamtec1

New Pleskian
Hello Odin Team .

I am now working on migration plan and i have tasted couple of migration via new plesk migration in plesk 12.5 and in plesk 12 and i have a suggestions/Feedback about it .

Plesk 12.5 and plesk 12 migrations not transferring virtual directory from older plesk versions (8.6 windows 2003)

As a suggestions for Odin to allow it because many clients/servers will be migrated to new plesk 12.5/12

Thanks

@kamtec1,

You could migrate from the older versions to Plesk version 11.5.30 and that should be possible without a problem.

Afterwards, you can migrate to Plesk versions 12.0.18 and 12.5.30 without any problem.

The reason for the "limited backwards compatibility" is the change in the Plesk business model: there were some significant changes in versions 10.x and 11.x.

Hope the above helps.

Regards.....
