• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

VPS hang on "The Container is starting at the moment" message

Hello there,

We are in need of your support because we have a Plesk based server, a standard windows VPS 1Gb Ram, 40Gb HDD, that has hung under starting status since at least 4 days.
This means that mstsc connections are blocked and cannot be used due of this status; we are unable to develop any operation under Plesk :8443 or 4643 sides because it is always showing:
- The Container is starting at the moment. To perform the requested operation, the Container should be in the running state.

Server data is still accessible, and websites such as http://www.foundation.e-arttic.com are still onlineSo what can be done in this case?? Is there any way to access to server from our side to restart it?

Our VPS provider has not found any solution until date, can anyone help us?
Can we do something from our side to change status of server or do we have to wait for the provider to find a solution?

Thanks in advance.

VPS working again... but without nes on how to proceed next time.
Best,

Solution in the case someone finds same issue:
- Unfortunately the server got caught in a loop, not something that happens very often. There is no way for the final user to actually kick the server out of this state, it has to be done from the provider's hardware node administrative tools. When the VPS is stuck in the 'starting' state it essentially means that the server hasn't fully started and the services such as terminal services will not be running hence why anything can be done from user side and why we couldn't connect.

Then... contact provider and wait!

Best,
