• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

I've been trying to get mailman working properly today and stumbled across a message which is repeating in my maillog (/usr/local/psa/var/log/maillog)

"Sep 23 04:22:11 jayce qmail: 1127445731.770950 warning: trouble injecting bounce message, will try later"

This message is repeating very frequently and I am at a loss as it to its cause even after extensive Googling.

I am running 7.5.2 on a FC1 machine, this is my component list:

I have 4PSA SpamGuardian, 4PSA TotalDomains and 4PSA Advanced Statistics. I also have clamav installed inline based on the hostbird.com instructions.

Anyone have any ideas on what is going on and why?

related?

I don't know if this is related but this afternoon when I discovered the above problem I had enabled a mailman list and tried posting a few messages to it as a test.

Now I am starting to see bounces where my server has responded:

"Remote host said: 553 sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts; no valid cert for gatewaying (#5.7.1)"

I've restarted things, kicked the tires etc. but am still clueless. I think this must have something to do with mailman... although nothing to do with the problem above...

The other *really* strange problem (I'm wishing I didn't get out of bed this morning!) is that I can't send HTML messages to my mailman list even though I have disabled content filtering...

Much wierdness...

Anyone have any ideas where to start with any of this?

Cheers

worked out the mailman problems

OK I have sorted my problems with mailman after I found the /var/logs/mailman/error file.

It would seem that for some reason when Plesk or mailman is creating a list it isn't creating the "en" directory containing the templates for the various pages/textfiles that mailman uses. Copying the relevant language directory from /var/mailman/template/ did the trick. I can now post in full HTML glory! :) *ugh*

But if anyone has answers to any of the other problems above I would be very grateful.

Cheers

George
