  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Web Horde / Hosted DNS

RikG

New Pleskian
I'm running Plesk on a Windows 2003 server. I've got Web Horde installed for webmail but I'm running into some problems. It's my understanding that Plesk should create webmail.domain.com, however, my DNS records are hosted on a seperate server (not windows/plesk based). What I did is I went ahead and created an A record for webmail.domain.com. It's also worth it to note that I've enabled Horde on ALL my domains. My current problem:

- webmail.domain.com doesn't work, however www.domain.com:8425 works
- This only works for one of my several domains, it doesn't work for all other domains I've configured webmail on.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Rik Gee
