  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Webmail with one default domain possible?

xxx

Basic Pleskian
Hello and good day.

I have installed a brand new Upuntu server with Plesk 12.0.18 Update #52 with roundcube as the webmail client. Because of security reason I installed a offical SSL certificate for the domain webmail.alias.mydomain.tld. This is working.

If I try to go to roundcube with https://webmail.alias.mydomain.tld I ended at the plesk default page. Not my goal ;-)
If I enter https://webmail.domainontheserver.tld everything is fine, roundcube comes up. But, I get a certificate issue (for sure).

So my goal is to give each user the same webmail URL https://webmail.alias.mydomain.tld with the right SSL certificate.

So, my question to you is if there is a way to point webmail to roundcube using a static URL. Is there a way to do so?

Thanks a lot in advance for your help!

Is there nobody who can help and point me to the solution for this topic?
Not even the customer service of Parallels?!

Odin, not Parallels.
If community can't help - have you tried contact Odin Support Team?

Sorry, IgorG. I have to change the name in my mind ;-)
No, I didn't contact Odin Support Team. Because I got the license from a server provider. I didn't bouhgt the license directly.
And this was the reason why the company support didn't answer my last request. So I didn't try to contact them again.

And you, IgorG. Can you help with this topic?

If you bought Plesk license from your Service Provider, your Service Provider should contact Odin Support Team according your request. Also you can order Plesk per-incident support at http://www.odin.com/support/buy-support/ Support team will contact you as soon as purchase is processed, and they will do the best to resolve it.
If it is found that your problem was caused by product bug w/o available solution or workaround from Odin, then your purchase will be re-funded.

Thank you IgorG, for not answering my question but trying to sell a support request.

Selling support is not my task here, believe me :) I hope that many people here can confirm it.
Unfortunately many issues cannot be resolved in scope of forum discussions without deep investigation directly on server.

Ok, I believe you.
So you write there is a solution but you can not share it because it is to complicated?

... no ... xxx,

what IgorG is trying to tell you is, that there has to be a deeper investigation on this issue/problem/question/request and this can't be answered right away with one or sentences. You will find a lot of related threads for "Plesk", "webmail" and "certificate" here in the forums, as well when you use google search. At the moment, there is no "work-around" for your situation, but you could put this and that tutorial together and find the best way for your very unique request. :)
Just start with the search, please and when you experience any issues, while getting closer to your desired, unique configuration, please don't hesitate to desribe the issue/problem and wait for a nice person ( or even several ones ^^ ) to help you.
