• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

It would be interesting to have a button in services module to start stop and restart mysql as apache and tomcat have

Hum... that might be a bit dangerous though. If you're currently on that "Services management" page, that means that MySQL is working.

If there is a restart button, and it for whatever reasons fails to restart, and you don't know how to log in and start / fix it via SSH then you're SOL.

Just my 2c.

Agreed, but there is obviously a reason for your request.

What about if the button response says, already running. If not running restart?

You wouldn't be able to get to that page if MySQL were not running though. You couldn't log into Plesk, nor could you access any of the pages as they're all database driven.

The mysql stop/start/restart switch is available in Virtuzzo anyway...

Unless you have Ubuntu, then none is available lol
