• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

What does backup backup?

If I backup the entire server and not just a domain, does it backup SQL databases etc etc?

I’ve searched the documentation and can’t find this information.

I have done 3 complete server backups over the past 3 nights and the backup is correctly made in the personal repository however, when I look on the current backups tab there is the backup saying failed. If I click the backup it then opens to say:

0: backup.abstract-repository.item.php:59
__backup__abstract_repository__item->getDump()
1: backup.abstract-repository.item.restore.php:34
__backup__abstract_repository__item__restore->accessItem(string 'GET', NULL null)
2: UIPointer.php:596
UIPointer->access(string 'GET')
3: plesk.php:38

Whats causing this and has the backup been made or not? The file is sitting in the repository.

In that case it is known problem with such ftp servers. It will be fixed but now you should use other ftp server.

Hmmm….Actually, how can I tell if I have this type? I can only access the backup (1&1) via telnet and to access it I enter ftp …… not vsftpd ….. So maybe I am not vsftpd after all.

The backup is made in the repository but the current backup also says failed, so I have no idea if it has failed or not.
