  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Windows 8.2 to 10.2 migration

DjFarout

Basic Pleskian
I have a customer who wants to migrate his Plesk 8.2 to a new VPS with Parallels Small Business Panel v10.2.0 and I'm having some problems.

I first tried using the Migration Manager, but it says my old server isn't accessible.

Then, after some google searches, I found this "Performing Migration with Backup and Restore Tools" http://download1.parallels.com/PPSM...inistrator-guide/index.htm?fileName=63263.htm

But when I pointed the new server to the FTP site, it couldn't find the backup job. I even downloaded the PSA file to C:\Parallels\Plesk\Backup. But I still can't get it to work.

Any suggestions??

BTW, all of this is on Virtuozzo VPS server running Windows, 2003 for the Plesk 8.2 and 2008 for the Plesk 10.2.

I tried the Migration Manager again from my Windows 7 machine, and I got a debug issue with a Javascript file.

Permission denied : prototype.js?1278521298, line 1533 character 7

1532 : if (state == 'Complete') {
1533 : this.transport.onreadystatechange = Prototype.emptyFunction;

good day IgorG

Sorry for my English, as I have the old version of plesk 8.6 was reading the link the following information:

http://download1.parallels.com/Ples...-plesk-panel-10.3.0-for-windows-based-os.html

"6. Previous versions supported for upgrade

Panel 10.3 supports upgrading from previous versions of the following:

Parallels Plesk Panel 8.x
Parallels Plesk Panel 9.x
Parallels Plesk Panel 10.0 to 10.2
Small Business Panel 10.2 (migration only) "

For a better understanding of information on the topic reported on the link, my old Plesk version 8.6 can I upgrade the panel directly to version 3.10?

hello

What do you advise me, my windows is 2003 and I want to make the installation of version 11 (which does not support windows 2003) and lock. There is the possibility of doing the installation-only version of 10? If not you could give me some direction?

You can just install fresh Plesk 11 server and migrate all domains from old 8.x server to new Plesk 11 server with help of Plesk Migration Manager.
