  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

working with partitions (moving webspace)

New Pleskian
Hi. I know this has been asked before, but i can find an answer that meets my needs so hopefully you wont mind answering again.

I have a server set up on Debain, and use Parallels Plesk Panel 9.5.2. I have my /vhosts/ on a partition that has only 50gb of space, and i have a patition labled as /home/ with around 800gb of free space, (I know a mess up in installing the partitions on me part).
I was hoping for detailed instructions of how to either link /home/ to plesk to use for webspace, of to move the /vhosts/ directory into /home/
The instructions I have found from browsing the forums have been very vague and I do not want to mess up the server, since I host other peoples sites aswell as my own.
Hopefully someone can give me instructions in detail on how to do this.
Thanks in advance.

Location of vhosts directory is defined in /etc/psa/psa.conf file:

# Virtual hosts directory
HTTPD_VHOSTS_D /var/www/vhosts

Also following utility would be useful for you:

# /usr/local/psa/bin/transvhosts.pl --help
You should specify destination directory.
Utility to transfer vhosts content from HTTPD_VHOSTS_D directory to new place.

Usage:
--dest-dir <path> Destination path. Path to new vhosts directory.
Example: /path/to/new/vhosts.
If directory does not exist it will be created.

--correct-scripts Changes user scripts.
Old vhost path is replaced to new path in content of all files.
