  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

WPB Missing Images From Upload

Namesonic

New Pleskian
For one client using the WPB 10.4.4-36793.11110312 on Plesk 10.4.4 #59, every page has various broken images both inside the content area and on the right side - red background - side panel that were at one time working. When added, these images appear on the site for some time and then at an undetermined, possibly random time, disappear causing broken images. This has happened multiple times to the client and re-uploading the images only corrects the situation temporarily.

The client is not running into space storage issues and has ample web space available. The location of the images being referenced is correct on the server. The problem is that the images no longer physically reside on the server. There is no indication in the WPB log files as to the cause of this removal. It is for this reason a ticket has been created with Parallels to investigate this issue.

Here is one such example, <img width="150" height="150" alt="" src="../../attachments/Image/round%3D20red%3D20and%3D20gold%3D20donate%3D20botton_16.jpg?template=generic" style="margin-right: auto; margin-left: auto; display: block;" id="mce-38667"> The image being referenced here no longer exists on the server. This image has also not showed up in the progressive backups being performed on the server.

Log files show no errors or issues during publishing.

The client also having troubles with the Blog Component of the WPB not functioning correctly and also losing images from the site. This information has also been included in our ticket to Parallels.

Are there known issues with images going missing?

I noticed a similar behaviour on a site with WPB 12.0.7. It happened to text&images modules with right-aligned images. The image links broke every time the content was re-edited. After a day or two the issue disappeared.
