• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Challenge/Response Spam Blocking

Hello,
Running 7.5.4 on RH 3.

I have a client looking for a challenge/response setup for blocking of spam. Basically, the first e-mail sent to the client sends a system e-mail to the sender requesting they respond to be added to the server white list.

Has anyone done this or know of a plug in that works well?

Thanks,
Wally Hass

Try TMDA http://tmda.net. I have been using it for quite some time and it works fine. It will not work out of box. You will need to make some modifications to get it work with plesk. For some information as to what I did to get it work with plesk, visit http://www.utkalika.net/projects/tmda

We develop a challenge response spam blocking solution called SendPlus (www.sendplus.com). It installs on the email client. I'd like to talk to you and see if we can develop/customize our solution to work for you and your client.

Please send me an email pvelusamy@sendplus.com

Cheers,
paul
