  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

HowTo Question - disable Remote Desktop

Hello,

My first Thread within this Forum.

I ordered a Windows 2008 R2 VPS with Plesk 10 today – so far, I know Plesk only on Linux.

I’m thinking at this moment about disabling Remote Desktop access (and only enable this in case if I need) – but I don’t found a way so far.

What I already tried:
1. Disabled the Remote Desktop Service (on services.msc), but after a reboot of the box, the Service was enabled.
2. Disabled the default Firewall Rule within Plesk for Remote Desktop, but I was still able to access the Server via RDP.

Has someone another idea how to disable Remote Desktop on a Windows 2008 R2 System with Plesk 10?

Thanks in advance,
Matthias

PS: I hope my English skill are enough good to understand me 
