• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question Issues with domain redirections

Zhuno

New Pleskian
Hello there!
Unfortunately when I try to setup a redirection from *domain*.me to *sub.domain*.com following happens

1) If I type domain.me it automatically corrects that to domain.me and when I click on continue, the plesk default page appears.
2) If I type domain.me it redirects to the configured page.
How can I fix this HTTPS-issue?

I'm using Plesk Obsidian 18 on Windows Server 2019 Datacenter

Thanks in advance!
Best regards

I assume you mean:

1) if I type https:// domain...
2) if I type http:// domain...

I'm afraid it's normal that the https address is not redirected, while http is. Plesk sets it up like this is by design. Consequently, there is also no way to set up a valid certificate for this https address. Some Plesk users are requesting for this to change, so both https and http addresses will be redirected, but we'll see.

A simple solution is to turn on the hosting for the domain.me, set up a proper certificate for it, and manually set up a redirect by means of e.g. .htaccess, index.php or index.html (there are various methods to achieve a redirect). If you do this, both https and http addresses will be redirected and there will be no certificate error either.

Hello, I have read your question. you can solve your problem by following instructions.
f you have set up URL forwarding on your domain name, but the forward isn't working, there are a few things that may be causing the issue. First, make sure that your domain name is using Name.com's default nameservers.
