• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

New Pleskian
Hey guys,
at first im sorry for my bad english. Im the admin of a webhosting account. At a lot of support documents i saw on the left site "tools and settings" but its not shown on me when i log in on example.com:8443. How you can see on she screenshot plesk.jpg

Tools & Settings needs a login with the user name "admin". Are you logged in as "admin"?
Thanks for your Answer. Im not logged in with "Admin" but with the owner Account. Maybe i have to ask the domain provider for the admin account. Thanke you!

Yes, you need to ask the admin of the server. Tools & Settings is a section where server owners configure some basics of the server.

The admin account is only for those who are the owners of the server itself. From the initial post it says you're just an admin for a web hosting account so I'm guessing you are buying hosting space from a wet hosting company that is using plesk? Or do you actually own the whole server? Cause if you own the whole server, you should have an actual admin account that was created during the set up of the account. If you are just buying web hosting space then chances are you won't get admin access which means you won't get access to the tools & settings and instead all the things you do will be located under your domain.
