• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Wildcard SSL on subdomains as unique Subscriptions

I know similar questions have been asked here but I’ve not seen this exact scenario. I’m using Plesk 11.0.9 on CentOS 6.2.

I have multiple subdomains each setup as a unique "Subscription" in Plesk, all using the same shared IP. To clarify, clien1.domain.com, client2.domain.com each have separate Plesk accounts (subscriptions), both on a shared IP. I would like to use a wildcard SSL certificate and apply it to each of these subscriptions and any new subscriptions. I just want to make sure this is possible before purchasing a wildcard SSL cert. I’ve read the Pleak administrators guide and it is not clear to me if this scenario will work. Also, if it will work, would it be relying on SNI (Server Name Indication)?

Thank you!

Easiest alternative to that too would be:

Go to Tools & Settings -> SSL certificates -> Install your SSL certificate there ...
Then again,
Go to Tools & Settings -> IP Addresses -> Set the newly Installed SSL certificate as default for your shared IP address

That is all ...

ALL subdomains for that wildcad SSL on that server will automatically be secured and have the green PASS SSL without having to install each independently.
